Sterilised Skimmed Milk - Virtually fat free, but full of flavour!At 0.1% fat, Pure Milk sterilised skimmed milk is virtually fat free and ideal for those who are on a low fat diet. While other skimmed milks are accused of tasting like 'white water', Pure Milk sterilised skimmed milk is full of flavour with sweet undertones that are associated with the sterilisation process. Sterilised milk has a long shelf life and is great kept in a cupboard unopened until you are ready to use it. No it doesn’t contain any preservatives, it’s simply fresh milk that has been heat treated to 140°C to destroy the micro organisms that otherwise allow milk to deteriorate. Once the milk has been opened, it should be treated like fresh milk - refrigerated and used within 3 days.
